where did the month go....

I cannot believe it's been a month since my last post, the time has flown by. Bryan and I have been busy building a crate/display table for our upcoming show in NY. Bryan will actually be blogging soon about "How to build a crate". It will probably be a 2 to 3 part post!

During this month we have made display props, and curtain panels along with gathering misc. items that we will need for the show. We also had a touch of fright but then(I think almost simultaneously)thought"why are we scared? This is what we do and this show is just the next step". So, I'd have to say we are pretty calm yet excited about the NYIGF.

Our crate was picked up this afternoon so we had a celebratory evening out tonight. That was the last BIG hurdle to get through. We were a bit worried about moving the crate from the house onto the truck. It ended up being WAY heavier than expected, but all went well and no one was injured. I had a strange feeling of sadness seeing our crate inside the truck then driving away from the house.

A few days ago, before packing the crate, we set up a portion of the booth in our living room and now I'm super excited to set the whole thing up. We will definitely turn some heads!

aaahhhHAA! I SEE now. Very fabulous look for the NY booth, and WHAT i see now, is that you are counting on your crate to stay in lovely condition and look rather furniture-like when it arrives. I am bowing to the trucker-union-GeorgeLittleManagement Gods to grant you some good juju & keep their greezy forklift prongs in all the right places when encountering the fabu Amuck crate....oh good LUCK with that arriving in such a beautious state...! All fingers & toes crossed.

Ha! I love that comment margo. Well, we are hoping for SOME extra character but hopefully not a hole through the side do to a forklift! We are bringing duct tape and you know that fixes everything!!

looks fantastic Andrea! I actually saw several crates like this in Philly that were a bit banged up but not that bad-yours does look great and will look so even if there are some dings-not to worry!
