Amuck workshops!

Hi all! Iam finally planning my first workshop. I've had many requests for these but have never had the space to offer classes. Just a couple of weeks ago I became aware of a great community workshop. So, now I'm in the planning stages and would love some feedback.

Do you like taking classes that have a specific project to make or a looser plan? What's your fav piece of jewelry to make: bracelets, earrings, brooches, rings, necklaces?

What classes have you taken that you thought were exceptional and why?

I will definitely be going over many cold connections and incorporating found objects into jewelry. Right now I'm compiling some images that I think are inspiring to make a little idea booklet.

Ok, off to do more research. I look forward to hearing from you!

The only class I've taken in a classroom setting was very basic. We learned to crimp beads and to do wire wraps on beads.

I would love to learn all kinds of cold connections. I'm terrible at learning via a video or book.

Where are you located in Kansas City? I live about 35 miles south of Topeka Kansas.

Hey Alice,

Im located in the Brookside area of Kansas City and the workspace I found is in the same area.

Thanks for the feedback. I've noticed a lot of artists doing online workshops/videos. The one video I've bought was a bit disappointing but I've never tried an online course.

An online class would be wonderful. I have taken several and always learn something new.

Congrats on your first workshop planning...I'll be following your "feedback"...as I'm getting closer to the workshop adventures...

It's just a long road with an already thriving business..! But a girl has to follow her dreams too, right?!!! Plus, who doesn't LOVE to create??? Mine won't be so much jewelry based, but feedback of any kind is inspiring... :-)
