Birthday!

Today is Sugar's birthday!! She is one year old and ten pounds. Finally weighed she and Mikey again the other day, he is up to 19 pounds now(although he feels like more!) They've both been having a grand day today playing with each other and Sugar's new toys.

She's looking at me now like "why have we stopped playing?"

"Let's get those toys back down here!"

We're In!!

We just found out this afternoon that we've been accepted into the Plaza Art Fair, here in Kansas City. We are so excited about this, it was such a fun show to do last year. The dates will be September 24,25,26.

We've been challenged!

Our local INK magazine has invited us to take their first ever craft challenge! These are the items that we've been given to work with along with 3 other designers. What will we all come up with? It will sure be fun to see. The challenge will appear in the June 16th issue of INK.

Newest Publication...

I got my copy of "30 Minute Earrings" in the mail today! It is quite an honor to be among such great artists within this book. I'm anxious to try out a few of the projects in here, maybe I can squeeze one set in this weekend. Release date for this book is next month(June), it is by Marthe LeVan and is published by Lark books.

Vintage Lovelies

These are some vintage millinery petals that I picked up when we were in New York last August. I got quite a few at Tinsel Trading Co. along with lots of other vintage goodness!

A section of a wooden ruler makes up the ring shank, and a pale pink silk ribbon ties it all together.

I've decided that I'm going to just post these Ring-A-Day rings on my Flickr site(which is required for the project and you can access them on the left side of my blog) and not repeat them here again on the blog. I'll use the blog post for Amuck events, new designs that I'm working on, as well as objects and artists that I find inspiring. Also, any window displays/projects that I do at the store(my day job) will be posted in its own category of Flickr as well.
